Laurel Lake McGuire, TWSA

I work in a style of illuminated realism; that is, the image you retain in your memory or informed by emotion. I enjoy using layering techniques and enough detail to give my work a solid feel. Color and the play of light are important to my vision.

Bicentennial Barn

This is on the grounds of the wonderful Sugarbush Farms maple syrup operation in Ohio. On a later visit the barn had been freshly painted and I had to confess as an artist the more faded view I had while painting was more appealing! The clouds gathering opened up on me just as I finished.
