I work in a style of illuminated realism; that is, the image you retain in your memory or informed by emotion. I enjoy using layering techniques and enough detail to give my work a solid feel. Color and the play of light are important to my vision.

Selected for Honorable Mention in the Paint the Parks exhibit in 2015, this painting is about exploring the strange dry aspect of Death Valley. I tried to capture the heat rising up from the ground, heated by the sun.
